A Personal Approach by Leigh-Ann Harvey
Why is it we can do so well in practice and yet in competition we fail so badly? What happens to me when this happens and how do I shift this unconscious behaviour?
Have you been able to shift your performance on your own? The power of our mind, both conscious and subconscious is more powerful than we know. We train our skill learnings with our sports coaching, supporting us to ensure we have the best training to be able to technically achieve our best results. Yet on the day, we crash out and don’t achieve what we know we are capable of.
In my point of view every athlete should have a technical/physical coach and a performance mindset coach (Behavioural Learning). We are a holistic system and in order to achieve our highest potential, we need to work on all aspects of ourselves.
“Fear is our biggest obstacle in achieving our highest potential”
